For the second time, the Dr Irena Eris brand was a partner of the Polish Film Festival. Most interesting films, premieres, and debuts entered into the competition to win the Golden and Silver Lions statuettes and a number of individual awards. Sixteen feature films qualified for the Main Competition of the 43rd PFF. Among this year’s winners of the Festival were “Cold War” directed by Paweł Pawlikowski, which won the Golden Lion, “Kler” directed by W. Smarzowski, which won the Audience Award, the Journalists’ Award and the Special Award, or “Fuga” directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska, who was later also recognized in the category directing debut or second film.
