By taking part in the contest, young designers may demonstrate their talent and present their designs to the best fashion designers and fashion journalists in Poland, and to the general public. The competitors have an opportunity, often for the first time in their lives, to take part in a professional fashion show.
They also compete for traineeships, make valuable contacts, and win prizes that may significantly facilitate their first steps in the fashion industry. Past winners of the Golden Thread contest include Maciej Zień and Paprocki & Brzozowski. The Golden Thread Final will be held on May 27, 2016, crowned by a unique show of collections by young designers.
