The winners and finalists of the POLITYKA Scientific Awards show that science is both a profession and a lifestyle. The competition consistently attracts talented, outstanding scientists, and the Dr Irena Eris brand has been promoting and supporting these remarkable activities together with the POLITYKA weekly for several years, as a partner. In addition, Dr. Irena Eris is a member of the Civic Jury of the competition’s II stage. This year’s 22nd edition of the POLITYKA Scientific Awards ended with a gala event, during which the five winners selected from a group of 15 finalists were announced.

As every year, during the first stage, members of the Professors’ Jury reviewed several hundred applications from all disciplines of science. Selecting the top 15 is always a difficult task, most of the submissions reveal exciting research projects pursued by fascinating people. However, the Civic Jury faces an even greater challenge, as among the finalists with comparable achievements and scientific potential, it has to identify only five individuals who, in addition to the title of the winner, will receive scholarships of PLN 15,000 and media promotion.
