Women from different European countries and other parts of the world have confirmed their participation in the 9th edition of the Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup. Apart from Poland, the players who will compete on the golf course come from Austria, Germany, Finland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, and even from the faraway Canada and the United States.

For two days, on the 18th and 19th of May, the players will strive to win precious points in the general classification of the Polish Golf Union. The large number of players attests the fact that the Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup has become one of the most important and prestigious events in women’s golf in this part of Europe.  

“We have to admit that the consistency with which the Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup has been growing for the past 9 years is exemplary. The organization of the tournament is fully professional and the participants show an impressively high level of skills. I’d like to emphasize that last year the Polish Golf Union raised the tournament to the first category, appreciating the event’s excellent quality. We are also glad that the Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup has contributed to golf’s growing popularity in Poland”, said Marek Michałowski, President of the Polish Golf Union.

The Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup was among the tournaments that witnessed the accomplishments of Martyna Mierzwa, the top Polish female golfer and the Polish golf’s greatest hope for the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
