In June, the Sopot pier transforms into a vibrant sailing arena for the Dr Irena Eris Women's Sailing Championship of Poland. This year's third edition brought together Poland's top female racing sailors and newcomers with little to no experience in international or league competitions. Competing against seasoned professionals, including Olympic and world champions, was challenging for occasional sailors in amateur or tourist classes to vie for the podium. To level the playing field, a special category for amateur women was introduced this year, giving them a genuine shot at medals. This approach mirrors the standards of prestigious global regattas.

This year's Polish Academic Chess Championships drew nearly 300 students from universities across Poland. In the women's tournament, Alicja Śliwicka, supported by the Dr Irena Eris brand, proved unbeatable. After a series of eight consecutive wins, she drew in the final round, but her position as leader in both the overall and university classifications remained secure. Scoring 8.5 points out of nine games, she outclassed the competition and claimed the gold medal. At the European Women's Individual Chess Championship in Rhodes, Greece, Alicja earned promotion to the Women's Chess World Cup. Congratulations!
