Triumph in Cannes

The British-Polish film “The Zone of Interest” received the Grand Prix award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. This is yet another award-winning film in the making of which the Dr Irena Eris brand was involved.

The critically acclaimed latest film by British director and screenwriter Jonathan Glazer is inspired by Martin Amis’ 2014 novel. It is a story about the family of an Auschwitz commandant living on the other side of the camp wall. The film was shot entirely in Poland, primarily in Oświęcim, near the former Nazi German camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.
“I am extremely proud of our role in the creation of this moving story, and I believe that the result of our passion and commitment will be not only the touched hearts of viewers, but also awards in such prestigious international competitions as the Cannes Film Festival,” — comments film producer Ewa Puszczyńska, member of the Polish, European and American Film Academy. The cosmetics brand Dr Irena Eris also had its share in the production, providing, among other things, cosmetics for the makeup of the characters. In addition, the brand’s makeup artists were involved in on-set work under the direction of Waldemar Pokromski, a well-known film makeup artist.

For years, Dr Irena Eris has been supporting artists in realizing their passions by getting involved in cultural projects and collaborating with talented male and female artists. In 2022, the brand was involved in many important cultural initiatives, including the Polish Film Festival and the New Horizons International Film Festival, as well as supporting the production of films such as “The Silent Twins”, nominated at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, and Marta Minorowicz’s directorial debut “The Illusion”.
