Sense of Beauty

Girl with a secret

We mainly remember her from the dark role in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. Now Rooney Mara shines brighter than ever in the Todd Haynes’ film "carol". She plays the role of a young, Audrey Hepburn type of girl. This role got her a second oscar nomination. Mara’s character is grave and reserved – and these are the features that describe her perfectly. Rooney is not a typical Hollywood star, and least of all a celebrity. She’s not very fond of interviews, and fame seems to be a burden for her.
