During the first conversation with our future guests, I always want to find out as much as I can about the nature of their visit—will it be a family trip or perhaps a romantic weekend for two? Do they want to spend their time actively or see the most in the area, or do they dream of peace and quiet and want to try out the wonders of spa and professional care? What are their tastes, what do they like, what do they dream of?
Every detail is important, and planning and later coordination with respective departments at the Hotel eases realization of shared arrangements. Sometimes, a surprise birthday event must be organized, for example, or the guests want to see something special in the surrounding area. Then I try my best to propose only what is interesting and aligns with their needs. My ideas come to life in a very natural way because I know my region and its oddities very well. I know what is worth seeing and what the visitors like the most. I also know the Hotel and every employee perfectly, as I’ve been working here since the beginning.
I’ve taken care of many guests and I’ve had to deal with many unusual tasks, including situations taken straight from a movie. I could spend hours telling stories that happened to me and how I managed them. However, I’m a Butler and, besides discretion, my job is to help to create an unforgettable atmosphere and collect experiences. And those should be a possession of our guests solely.
